Assuming President's Circle (1.5 points per $1) you'd now need to spend $633 to earn a single day rental, up from $500. That's a shame.

Fortunately (I guess) I use my employer's CDP when I need to rent for leisure, and the rates on those rentals are rock bottom around $28 per day (basic midsize sedan), so I'd now need to rent 23 days at that rate to earn a single free day. Ouch.

I've considered opting to earn airline/hotel miles on my Hertz rentals instead, but haven't sat down to do the math on it - anyone have experience with that option?
