Generally On short haul flights I find LX crew more likely to give me some recognition than LH, and MUC crew better than FRA. Recently, even when driven to the plane from the FCT, the crew sometimes fails to know my name. In the end, 1. I find it nice to be acknowledged, especially if in economy; and 2. I think the irregularity of any recognition shows poor training and/or lack of adherence to procedures; which is not a good habit in air crew.

It doesn’t take long to welcome at least HONs on short haul flights. For me it’s rare I want anything, but it’s nice to be asked.
