Around one month prior in June of this year something strange happened. The status miles counter reset to zero and any flights taken before July 1st didn't get any status miles. As the counter was reset to 0 the number of miles required to "protect" the status was set to 60K. This didn't change after July 1st and despite being on my first year the counter still says 60K.

I contacted Turkish Airlines via the web form only to be told that there is no issue with my account and that my status will renew automatically when reaching 40K before June 30th 2023, despite the counter stating that 60K miles is required.

Should I trust this information, or do I need to contact them again to get the back-office involved? I do have some travel planned in the next year that will help be re-qualify but I don't want to have to book more flights to earn the extra 20K status miles just because their IT sucks.

Have anyone else encountered this issue before?
I'm in a similar boat as an elite. The app shows the progress to the 2 year renewal goal (37,500 miles), when it should show 25,000 miles because I'm in the first year of this membership term. In my case, I should hit near 40k with my remaining travel, so I didn't look into it. I think now I should.
