AX Shutting Down All Accounts if you use Link to 250K SUB offer?

I have searched the threads and cannot find any information to support the USCCG writings about AX shutting down ALL accounts if you use their link to apply."2022.8 Update: There’s a new 170k offer with $15k spending requirement. Is this a targeted offer link that people are using and they should not be using or is this some new thing where AX is shutting down accounts when you apply for an unusually high SUB?
