Way better value than anywhere in France or Switzerland and good for similar reasons to Austria that others have mentioned. In fact, it’s just over the border from Austria. Otherwise you have the Alta Badia, Kronplatz and of course Cortina d’Ampezzo areas within reasonable driving distance of Venice too.
