So this would absolutely be my recommendation. I find Venice tends to be slightly more bearable over Spring half term since it’s not an obvious skiing airport and hence the prices are also (relatively) more reasonable. By contrast the prices to Innsbruck over Spring half term are insane unless you can use Gold priority reward. As for destinations from Venice, well I am a huge fan of this region: https://www.dreizinnen.com/en/skires...ree-peaks.html which is about 2hr30 from Venice and a great family resort. Way better value than anywhere in France or Switzerland and good for similar reasons to Austria that others have mentioned. In fact, it’s just over the border from Austria. Otherwise you have the Alta Badia, Kronplatz and of course Cortina d’Ampezzo areas within reasonable driving distance of Venice too.
