Compensation for lost baggage

Hi all -

My wife and I flew EI-114, PHL-DUB on 4 Aug. Our baggage didn't make it, and still hasn't been found.

[Side note that may be interesting... We flew AS1348 SEA-PHL before the PHL-DUB leg, all on the same PNR. My understanding is much of Aer Lingus baggage woes involve transfers, and this would fit that pattern]

My question is, can we expect to be compensated for buying new clothes? I've filled out the requisite form on Aer Lingus's website, but haven't heard back yet. I was wondering if there were and real-world data points explaining what sort of compensation/reimbursement we might reasonably expect.

Thanks all,
-HD
