Row 1 has the most legroom in Club Europe (unless the CE cabin extends back to the exit rows). 1C and 1D have the benefit of being able to steal some aisle / galley space too.
My observation - its possible to steal a smidgen of aisle space if seated in 1C but as the starboard bulkhead is wider 1D is very much pinned in. My advice for long legged passengers is to avoid row 1 because better knee row doesn’t equate to more leg room. Seats in rows 2 and aft offer more flexibility once in cruise as when the armrest is raised it’s possible to utilise the shared middle footwell by pivoting your legs off axis. The downside of the neo is the missing fold down table which can otherwise be used as a surrogate armrest.
