We just returned from another wonderful stay. The service was amazing as others have said. I love the peaceful, quiet atmosphere and the unique architecture and decor, which is so much more interesting than the cookie-cutter modern you see elsewhere. We hang out at the family pool, which was still very peaceful, and has comfy daybeds and plenty of shade. Loved relaxing on our balcony in the plunge pool enjoying the complimentary afternoon coronas, guac and chips. Had dinner at Don Manuel's the first night; the food was excellent and the atmosphere was incredible. Had dinner at El Farallon the last night; IMO you're paying for the location; the food wasn't that great.

We were upgraded to a massive 2BR villa. It was so large I got lost a few times! It was quite a hike up the hill, although we could have used golf carts, and did a time or 2. Our daughter actually said she like the 2Q room we had last year better since it was more conveniently located and more cozy, but the rest of us thoroughly enjoyed the villa.

I had a massage at the Spa, which was an impressive facility. It came with access to the steam room, sauna, ice room, jacuzzi, and spa pool for the rest of the day. After fees and tip, it was over $300. I enjoyed the massage and facilities but it was not as good as I've had elsewhere (my best massages have been at Ziva Cancun and Conrad Tulum).

After seeing glowing reviews about their airport transfer/concierge service, we booked it for our departure day. I don't know that it was worth the extra cost for us. The lines weren't bad at the airport (may have been the time of day). Also, I had heard they would take us to the airport VIP lounge, but after the employee left us at the security checkpoint, I realized he never mentioned the lounge. Perhaps it was because we were about 30 minutes late leaving the resort (our fault not theirs) and didn't have much time left before boarding.

Despite using points for the stay and having free breakfast, we still spent quite a bit of money due to the food costs. Each dinner at the hotel was over $400 USD for the 4 of us. Inflation seems to have hit Cabo like everywhere else!

All in all, I would certainly go back in a heartbeat, and expect this will be our go-to for using Hilton free-night certificates in the future.

We stayed 4 nights at The Cape followed by 3 nights at Waldorf. We had been to the Waldorf before and purposefully saved it for the last part of the trip since we knew we loved it. Even so, we were still sad to leave the Cape, but we quickly got over it upon arrival at the Waldorf. The Cape had its own advantages, and combining the 2 made for a very good combination IMO. We really enjoyed the views from the Cape, where you can see the rock formation and watch surfers. Plus all the rooms are close to the water if you like that (the sound of the waves was loud). We enjoyed the breakfasts at the Cape more; we're Globalists so it included a fruit plate, pastries, a main dish and side dish, and we weren't charged extra for lattes and cappucinos. Plus the main dishes were excellent, especially the lobster benedict! The Waldorf has a more peaceful atmosphere, better service, is more convenient to downtown, and just feels more unique and luxurious. We left the Cape on a Friday, and Thursday night things were starting to get rowdy with groups (large birthday parties, weddings, etc.). There was a very large group in the pool wearing matching hats the day we left. I didn't see any of that at the Waldorf despite being there on a weekend.

We reserved the base room with FNC and for 3 persons. Last year when we arrived with 2 adults and 2 teens, they had upgraded us to the 2Q room and we were informed the 4th person would incur a charge of $75 per night (the occupancy limit for base room and 2Q room is 3). This year, they upgraded us beforehand to the 2Q room, and when I emailed them to tell them there would be 4 of us they said the 4th person would be charged $100 per night. I told them we would appreciate an upgrade to a 2BR if available, and on the day of arrival they emailed me and said they were pleased to grant the upgrade. I was hoping we wouldn't be charged the extra $100 per night for the 4th person, since the 2BR villa sleeps up to 5, but alas it was charged at checkout. Decided not to question it since we were getting a $4000/nt room for free otherwise! Also, they told us at check-in that we would get free continental breakfast for up to 2 guests as Diamonds, but the bills we received at breakfast showed 4 breakfasts for $0 each. We didn't upgrade to the hot breakfast, but an iced latte added $12 plus tax and gratuity to the bill.
