Did you pack up your original room and then put the packed bag(s) into the room, or did you unpack again in the new room?
What does "removed" mean - put in storage, or thrown in a dumpster and taken to the landfill? If they just moved your packed bag into a secure location and you were able to retrieve it when you came back 12 hrs later, what's really the harm done here?
What's your expectation from complaining to Hilton? Compensation, presumably? How much?
so at around 10AM, after he “moved” me to the new room. I packed up my stuff from the old room and moved it to the new room. I unpacked some pills and hygiene stuff in the bathroom and some work stuff on the desk. I then left the hotel all day and came back around 9PM. This is when EVERYTHING was cleared out of the room, including the stuff I had unpacked. When by bags were returned to me, the important things like my clothes and work computer had been shoved into my suitcase, but some of the bathroom stuff (pill bottles, water bottles etc…) was missing and I think thrown away.
I would be inclined to ask Hilton or Priceline for a partial refund or maybe some points or a voucher…
