Yes — as I said it was a perfectly nice hotel. At the same time the Berkeley RI is brand new, very modern, and quite nice. The suites do have a separate bedroom with sliding door, and at least from my room on the 17th floor, nice views of the city, the bay, and the Golden Gate Bridge. I would take my RI room over the graduate room, but no complaints about either one.
