Beginning to agree with that. In the past it has always represented great value for those paying (at least alcohol wise) but certainly this year a lot less so. Where as in the past there was a nice concessionary champagne window at 7.50, this has now gone. That second spare glass has now gone on the basis of 'health & safety' ????!! .... yes we laughed and then raised an eyebrow as well. And no cocktails. They used to. For folks who drink, the payable fee was value. For RA's it is a no-brainer. But even for RA's it's not the place it used to be.

Champagne in morning and afternoon has gone .... even for those flying under the radar. Breakfast is still excellent, Afternoon tea is so-so and evening as you rightly say is poor at best .... and if entirely honest, was before the "covid window of adjustment opportunity"

There is definitely a lot of screw down on niceties at ICPL all round. This is a shame as it's so relatively low cost. And frankly, available at other addresses.

The service is good and staff are engaging rather than just automaton. View and ambience is amongst the best ... took me years to realise it but it is world class. But the mean-ness on the small stuff is shining out and is letting them down. Staff know it and I feel are embarrassed by it.

ICPL (as many addresses) got clobbered big style cost wise during pandemic. It feels very much like someone is trying to massage costs to make their P&L match target. Food comes nowhere close many other IC's as you say e.g Bali, Jakarta, Budapest, Singapore, all of the ME locations, and many more. Some refocus needed.

And if the payable lounge access has gone up to £150, then that value proposition no longer works. Especially as even middle level status holders can get breakfast included in price now.

All round not so good.
