I've seen it show up on the final screen before GF links to whichever purchase portal, although actually not very recently (within a year, maybe). It has (or had) an indicator saying 'separate tickets', with two links to purchase each. And to be sure, this is for actual round trips such as A-B nonstop and days later B-A nonstop — i.e. not a self-transfer type arrangement.

However, for what it's worth, I tried a trip in O going SFO-ICN-SFO, and GF offers a higher price for round trip than it does for paired one-ways, so evidently it doesn't always (or maybe any longer) offer that.
