If you still have copies of the bills for the days you haven't received credit yet, you can always try faxing them to Marriott Rewards. They would be the one to make the final determination (even if it means MR calling the hotel property).
I've been in similar situations with the direct bill and since it was short term, I just dealt with it. Once I was back home, I faxed the bills to MR and I got full credit.
