One well known fact around our office is that sometimes the AMEX web site shows no rooms available at the corporate rate when Hilton is still willing to offer rooms at the corporate rate. If you plug in the corporate code on the Hilton website, it will often show the corporate rate available when AMEX does not offer the rate.

Our company posts the code on its intranet site because its agreement with Hilton allows the code to be used for employee leisure travel (which cannot be booked using the AMEX web site). If your company does not, try checking your reservations on the HHonors web site travel planner. My reservations show the corporate code at the bottom of the page.
