It has been a month since I've been through T2 YYZ, must be some kind of record... but I digress.

In the past month there has been the addition of a US Citizens only line in positions 2-4. The rat race has been re-routed to support this feature and the unwary can find themselves (Like yours truly) standing in the wrong line. The entrance to the main immigratation line is now in the center of the hall.

The other odd thing I saw today was the AC personnel who marshall the herds, were telling people in the rat race to turn off their cell phones. I know the bit about the pre-clearance area being a federal inspection zone etc. etc. and I learned a long time ago to tuck the cell away when I was in front of an INS agent, but I never expected AC personnel to help enforce the rules???

The addition of the fixed line, means that US Citizens have a shorter walk, and a quicker trip through US Immigration in T2. Maybe its wishful thinking, but maybe this could be a pre-cursor to express lines for premium pax???
