When we travelled back from Santorini a few years ago, the airport part of the CE experience was dreadful to the point of laughable.

Firstly we queued for ages to check bags in only to find a single check-in desk. No dedicated CE desk. We then realised there was no lounge at all. They then told us to go to the gate, to stand around with everyone else. Then put on a coach on a red hot day which set off with everyone (no CE/economy distinction at all) only for it to stop for about 20 minutes mid-journey as the plane wasn't ready for us to board. Once we got to the plane, everyone just ran for the plane as we were so hot, again no separation between passengers.

You do wonder what on earth is/was the point of business/CE in the above scenario. I always chuckle when airports have a dedicated CE departures, but then pile everyone on the same bus, so the only thing you've achieved is to stand in the bus for longer than other passengers as when you get off, economy passengers don't wait for CE to leave first 😁
