As CWS says, it should have been fine even if not fixed. My full name is 65 characters long (no, that isn’t a typo!) so it doesn’t even fit on my passport (or driving licence, or bank cards, or pretty much anything for that matter…), I use a shortened version (at a svelte 35 characters) on my passport with my full name listed as an official observation. Even my shortened name gets truncated on tickets and it is never an issue.
