I'm sitting at the station in Albuquerque waiting for the westbound Chief (Train #3) to arrive. It's running over an hour late. I've been monitoring this train's arrival times into Gallup periodically since June, knowing I would be taking the train today. I haven't checked every single day, but the days I have checked have shown arrivals into Gallup anywhere from one to six hours behind schedule.

If it isn't possible, for whatever reason, for Amtrak to at least occasionally meet the scheduled arrival / departure times, why don't they change the schedule to something more realistic?
