Also -- we don't offer cheese & dessert by Status. As SE & SM's often sit in the last row of the cabin (seems to be a preference of many) it basically ensures that all options are available.
I flew AMS-YYZ on Monday (sitting in 1K). I asked if I could have a plate of cheese
and the dessert (I think it was the pear cake), but I was told "no, sorry, you can only have the cheese OR the dessert". I was in the mood for sweet, so I asked for the dessert. After they had finished serving the cabin, they did swing by and offer me a cheese plate .... but by that time I had finished the dessert, so wasn't really in the mood for cheese (I would have eaten the cheese first).
Perhaps this is a downside of sitting in the first row (not the last) ...
