Scottsdale Resort at McCormick Ranch- it's closer to some of the Mesa area parks + Talking Stick (though farther from the west side ones, not terribly much so though).
I had no idea there were so many areas now! Never heard of Sloan Park but I know the Cubs used to be in Peoria, we went to a game there years ago.
I wouldn't pass on the AZ Biltmore yet until you read the reviews and decide for yourself, we almost stayed there once because of the FLW/Wrigley connections but apparently they've added water slides, etc., and turned it into a more family place, but if you're traveling with kids it could be just the ticket.
