Thanks everyone for your help. I did not expect (or ask) to be re-accommodated and provided a refund. I asked to be re-accommodated only. I used 30,000 points for a base room (1 bedroom suite). I was hoping that I would be accommodated in a similarly priced suite at one of the other hotels for the same 30,000 points but what I was offered was using the same (or more for the Alila Seminyak) points for rooms that are much lower in cash. The points cost, however, is the same which I suspect is what the hotel will argue since it is how I paid and I guess I can understand. However, given that they are not honoring my reservation for a business reason, I was hoping that they would offer something beyond this (such as a similarly priced room at an alternative hotel). I would also be fine with the refund alone if the points could be returned to my chase account instead (as there are much more useful ways to use them rather than spending 32,500 points a night for a $400 room including directly with chase at 1.5c a point) but this is not possible so I am stuck with points that I would not have transferred otherwise.
