I recently had cause to use CEDR as mediation. After several stories around the block BA confirmed that this is the final decision not pay (additional costs incurred in our case).
THE CEDR form is straight forward they keep you updated and within 6 weeks of contacting CEDR the first time BA claimed responsibility and offered to pay up the difference. 2 weeks after BA agreed to the settlement the money hit my account.

can’t fault the process and it is there to be used by Consumers if you think you have a valid case. Worst case scenario you pay £25 admin fee if you don’t have valid reasons to use them n they agree BA is in the right.

just wonder how much BA will have to pay, if they do, if CEDR agrees with the consumer,
