i made a booking a few nights ago for the fam…2 adults, 2 kids. We’re US-based and normally prefer UA, so that’s where l miles go and who we normally fly, but UA was crazy expensive compared to AC to YYZ. So bit my tongue and booked.
Put our MileagePlus numbers on the reservation for all 4. But when the booking was complete, only the MP numbers for myself (via profile), and my wife (added during booking) displayed. Both kids mileage number not showing.
that shouldn’t require a call either, but it did. Rather than waiting on hold for 2 hours, I ended up helping myself and others by not adding to the wait queues and calling a foreign call center. As a nobody, it shouldn’t take me going to these kind of extreme measures to avoid 2+ hour holds, but here we are - and they picked up right away. Really prefer not to have to do this, but there is apparently no other way when online won’t work. Have tried to tweet as well - it used to be they
sometimes responded on there, but since about the spring, seems that they ignore that channel completely.
