This has happened to me at least half a dozen times this year. Very frustrating.

Several times I had a pet in cabin with me so I couldn’t check in until we were at the airport. In my experience, I’ve gotten the best results by going directly to the GA day of and they have been able to manually add me, including one time overriding an upgrade previously given to someone lower on the list.
