Flying internal with AA to DFW then connecting to BA First to London. Ticketed separately so I know I have to collect my baggage and recheck. I’ve a 6 hour layover. Could I, on arrival go to the lounge and get lunch at flagship first dining, then go collect my bags before checking in? Trying to avoid a long wait landside before BA check in opens.
I’ll already be checked in for the BA flight so there’s nothing to stop me going to the Admirals Club, but the concern is what happen to my bags.
In theory I think this would work ok. You would have to leave your bag(s) coursing around the carousel until someone fished them off for you and hopefully stored them somewhere safe. You would have access to the Flagship Lounge and Dining on arrival into DFW by virtue of your same day boarding pass to London in BA F. You would of course need to leave sufficient time to head out, locate and collect your bags, check them in and head back through security. Would I do it? Probably not but there's nothing stopping you.
