Made was THE BEST tour guide and driver. Friendly, warm, thoughtful, generous and kind, he was so easy to spend time with that by the end of our two-week trip, he felt like family. He would always go out of his way to help us. For instance, we ran out of a prescription we needed that wasn’t carried at the local pharmacy. He then contacted a family member who worked at a larger pharmacy in the city and brought the medicine to us the next time we saw him. He imparted so much knowledge of Balinese history and traditions and was always eager to answer any of our questions about the culture. He gave great recommendations for food/restaurants and made the process of navigating the purchase of even basic items (like tickets at the zoo) much faster. He speaks English very well and is easy to understand and converse with. We very much recommend him as the best tour guide/driver in Bali and look forward to seeing him again when we return! In total, we used Made for 7 different tours or trips all over Bali (ubud, Nusa Dua, eastern Bali).
