I had the Indian korma that is in the pictures of #285. It was delicious, but the portion was small. Mine, too, only had three miniscule okra in it like the photo. I thought it was a mistake, but I guess that is the catered portion. It's delicious, but not enough when compared to the protein dishes.
Also, had an amazing crew VCE-PHL last week. Very friendly, and they set up the galley midflight with all the snacks and wine. I have never seen self-serve wine in the galley before and appreciated it since sometimes, you don't want to interrupt crew midflight while they're eating their meal or reading while all wrapped in their blankets by the door).
This sums up the dish well. Fill 75% of the plate with the korma, 25% with rice (if that) and pita on the side. Having it on the side may create logistical issues for putting it in the oven and what not, but they take up a lot of real estate.
That’s shocking given how the AA FAs have historically wanted to control the flow (at least in my experience). I agree that it’s nice to grab something without having to disrupt.
Glad to hear about the crew. With the exception of one flight, all of the crews on my AA TATL flights were great — generally better than my three DL J TATL flights.
