Buy WGA+ fares for a few more $ then if you think you will SDC an itinerary. Between CP still automatically giving great A group boarding passes to both people (even if neither are A list) and WGA+ or EBCI being available for a few bucks more if you need/want it when your companion travels alone, I can't fathom paying for a ticket to maintain A-List if I have a CP.
