This is a brief report on the Marriott Jacksonville Downtown.
The office where I work ran a conference last week at the nearby Hyatt. Hyatt got the wrong arrival date for my office and since they were way overbooked, they cancelled my reservation and told me to hit the street. In a panic, I booked into the Marriott Jacksonville Downtown and had to bounce back and forth several times each day with various commitments and a wife who was dealing with medical issues.
Here are some of my complaints about a property that until a few months ago was an Omni:
terrible mattress, no room service, annoying bellperson, the restaurant had limited hours when food was available, the shower was extremely dated and not easy to navigate, lamp switch behind chair required tricks to turn on and off, the small refrigerator was of little use,
I already submitted a response directly to the hotel, but they did not repeat back to me what I wrote so it seems like I am still missing a couple of issues.
