Breakfast 75 minutes out from SFO: I suppose the benefit of no menu is that you don't know what you don't know. Different FA from above: "You want breakfast?" I said yes and before I could say anything else he was gone, only to return later with the green cube. I have no idea if there were other options available or not, though everyone around me had the green cube.
