Also, I presume the reason to book the rental on Amex Plat is to get the CDP benefits and to charge it on CSR is to get the primary CDW coverage so what would it achieve by changing the payment card at return? Am I missing something?

Also, don't they charge your card at pick up? Its been a while since I've rented so been out of the loop - any advice appreciated, thanks!
