VS award flight cancelled by AF due to incorrect booking
Flew ATL to CDG and 24 hours before my departure AF cancelled my flight because it was booked "incorrectly" by VS. Spent over 4 hours on the phone (between on hold and with agents) with VS the day of our departure and while I ended up on the same flight we were relegated to economy from our biz class award. Despite everything saying business class AF claimed it was economy. AF has advised me my return flight will probably be the same. On both AF and VS website it shows biz class (seats selected through air france etc), but after phoning AF they say the booking is an O fair which is VS economy. Phoning VS they say O fair is AF business and they can only book as O or X. What the heck do I do? How is it possible that VS says everything is "coded" properly but AF says it may show biz on their website when it's reviewed at check it the flight will be cancelled or changed to economy due to incorrect booking? I spent over an hour in a chat "queue" with VS and never spoke to agent. I really don't want to call the VS number again, just to be told everything is fine and have a disaster at check in before flight. Any ideas? Anyone else I can talk to?
