I am BA Silver (ow sapphire) so would have access. I understand the lounge is in Terminal D, whereas domestic flights usually depart from Terminal A or C: how long of a walk is it to the FL and back?

Also: is the 1.5 hours long enough for my bag to make it onto the other flight? What has the situation been like at DFW with bags lately?
You can either take the SkyTrain to the Flagship Lounge or you can walk but it really depends where you arrive and from where you'll be departing. There should be time for a short visit but you might find it makes more sense to stick with an ordinary Admirals Club if there's one close by.

There should be no problem with your bag and you can of course check the status on the AA app as you depart from DFW.
