Norway in April - driving from Gothenburg.
I have a business meeting to Gothenburg in April. I will have six full days to travel after the meeting.
I have never been to Norway. I was told that many highways would not be open in April. However, I would like to travel thru open highways to get an idea about Norway for my future trip.
I am planning to rent a car and my current plan is
Day1 Gothenburg - Oslo
Day2 Oslo - Stegastein Lookout / Flåm / Gudvangen
Day3 Sognefjord - Vossevangen - Bergen
Day4 Bergen - Alesund
Day5 Alesund - Oslo
Day6 Oslo - Gothenburg
I was looking for an overnight ferry from Gothenburg to Bergen or Alesund to save time and have more daytime in Norway. However, I do not see any ferry.
I am still learning about Norway and I understand April is not an ideal time to visit. My alternative option is to rent a car from Gothenburg and travel Sweden and Denmark. However, I am more inclining toward Norway as I collect more information and see beautiful pictures.
Any advice would be appreciated.
