We've got a trip planned for April/May 2023 for 7 nights with 2 kids (will be 5 and 3 at the time). It's the first long trip for the kids so our plans are mostly centered around keeping them happy, comfortable, and entertained. My current plan is to stay at the Shangri-La Singapore for 4 nights in one of their themed rooms, since that would at least be a way to keep them entertained while jet lagged, then spend 3 nights at the Shangri-La Rasa Sentosa in a Family Garden King (which the web site says can accommodate 2 kids on a sofa bed). Accessibility to kid friendly activities like playgrounds and pools at the hotel are pretty important, and we would probably take a car to most places when venturing out of the hotel, except maybe short walks to eat. We'd then do more of the sightseeing on the main island the first few days, then do Universal and maybe some other activities on Sentosa when we're there (and hopefully more adjusted).

Are there any major issues with this itinerary, or any other hotels I should seriously consider? A major hurdle was finding rooms that would fit us all without being extraordinarily expensive (like 2 bedroom suites). Two adjoining rooms would work, but for that price it seemed like the themed Shangri-La rooms would provide more kid friendly amenities both to go with the room and at the hotel in general.
