Yeah, I think you will have to fill out the arrival card -
https://eservices.ica.gov.sg/sgarrivalcard/ since you have a stopover in Singapore and I assume you will be entering into Singapore itself.
The arrival card isn't too difficult to fill up but you can only do it 2-3 days before your flight is due to land in Singapore.
As for your luggage, make sure it is checked through all the way to Sydney when you check in at Zurich Airport! I always make it a point to physically examine the tags that the check in agent affix on my bags. Also get the luggage receipts. These days with the chaotic airport situations around the world, a lot of luggage seems to be getting misplaced.
