Most employees of these companies don't live on the west coast of the US (regardless of where HQ is) making AS essentially useless.

The majority of people who travel (including many frequent travelers) don't bother with frequent flyer programs. They just book whatever is cheapest.
When you add all this up, you get that while many people are eligible, it's irrelevant to almost all of them.
Agree 100%. I was estimating only actual eligibility. But I'd like to think there are cases where someone like an Amazon warehouse worker near Portland learns about this, does a bunch of PDX/SEA RTs on Saver fare, then enjoys a year of elevated travel perks.
ETA: I don't think there's a
business travel requirement attached to these offers, is there? Trips don't have to be booked through Concur or whatever corp travel tool they're using, do they?
