Flight Information:- · Flight: TPA to LHR
- · Airline: Delta Airlines/Virgin Atlantic (A330-300)
- · Ticket Cost: $2,018/ticket or 140,000 SkyMiles + $313
- · Total $ Cost: $6,054
- · Class: Premium
- · Tickets Needed: 3
Delta SkyMiles/E-Credits:- · SkyMiles: 140,048
- · E-Credits ($4,016.40): $666.40 (Non-transferable) / $3,350 (Transferable)
Questions:- I would like to have the family’s boarding passes all on my delta app; or worse case use my wife’s SkyMiles account for hers and the 3-year-old on mine.
- Can I add my spouses and 3 year-olds boarding pass to my delta app?
- If not, is it worth creating a Delta SkyMiles account for the 3-year-old?
- How do I cover the most $ expense (out of pocket) by using my Delta SkyMiles and E-Credits?
- I also have Capital One points that I can purchase one ticket through not sure how quick that gets over to my Delta App. MY Capital One points would cover 50% of a ticket.
- If I buy the tickets all on my account at the same time I know everyone gets my status perks. If my spouse is on as a "My travel companion" with her skymiles # does she get SkyMiles?
- Any additional advice or help is greatly appreciated.

On a different note, I’d advise against wasting extra points/money on PS. I recently flew DTW-LHR in PS. The experience was meh. Sure the seat is a little wider and there is a little more seat pitch, but that’s e where it ends. Same food and service as DC+. Same FAs. Same liquor and wine selection. (Read: no selection, just single choices). In DC+ the arm rests fold up and out of the way. IMHO, PS is a waste. Buy DC+, select seats C E G, and pocket the difference. Maybe no one will sit in D and F and you can spread out. Good luck.
