I've stayed at the Radisson NYC Fifth Avenue numerous times, with the last stay about 15 months ago. The property was in decent condition, however, the rooms are excruciatingly small, even by NYC standards and the lobby is the size of my family room. The service is even worse, as they do not afford Radisson elite members any benefits. It got to the point where I held a conference call with the front office manager and Radisson customer service to force the hotel to honor a 30 minute early check in. They agreed to do so, but wanted to charge me $50 because the benefit doesn't state that it's complementary. I escalated the case with Radisson (it turned into a ridiculous quest for me), but was led to believe that Radisson didn't want to push the issue with the owner since they lost their Times Square location a year prior to Doubletree. I believe, but could be wrong, that both hotels are owned by the same entity.
