Looks like the HK7s is back 4-6/11/2022. But do not think it is good news necessarily:

From HKRFU
Dear Members,Thank you for your patience as we continued to push for the return of the Cathay Pacific/HSBC Hong Kong Sevens. We are delighted to confirm that as of this morning, we have received support from the Government, and we will be pushing ahead with the event this coming November.

If you cannot attend in November, your ticket allocation will be carried over until April 2023 and your membership extended until May 1st 2023 however, if you decide to attend in November 2022, your membership will expire on November 7th 2022.

As we begin to execute our event plan, more information around corporate hospitality, ticketing, event requirements, teams and fans will be announced in due course. Please bear with us and you will be receiving further updates in the coming weeks.

SCMP wrote an article saying it will be held in a 'Closed Loop' environment on the lines of Beijing last year, so does not bode well for the easing of quarantine reductions (unless you are a senior and friendly banker).

Just wondering if there would be enough fans without visitors to fill 85% of a stadium where access will be restricted.

Also a little worrying is the item about teams being announced in due course, does this mean some teams might want to avoid Hong Kong's restrictions? Especially as the following tournament is in Singapore the next weekend.
