This weekend arrive early AM on AA at T3 connecting to LIS on BA at T1.

Returned afternoon on BA from LIS at T1 connecting to LHR on AA at T3.

Terrible waits for security (30 minutes) at flight connections center followed by another long wait (25 minutes) for the bus. There were so many in the bus queue that it took 3 busses to come and go before we could be accomodated.

Is this normal? Should I email the BAA with a complaint?

Also, I noticed not ONE person set off the metal detector at the flight connections center. They must have it set terribly low? Are they really only interested in the luggage that is going through the x-ray machine? They hardly checked that for anyone as well. I don't know if they reduce the sensitivity of the screening when there is a line. Seems rather odd to have all the people queue up and then have no one set off anything?
