Hey, I disagree, I think both options had pros and the one you chose has plenty of pros!

You picked the route that has the best country in the world to transfer through in terms of leaving the airport. It also has one of my favourite places in the world: Gardens by the Bay.

Leave the airport, and go and soak in either your favourite Singapore spot, or explore something new. Even though its a small city state, there is so much to do, it is mind boggling how much they have packed into it.

Yes the DBX lounge is very nice but I would honestly rather spend my time actually on the ground in Singapore.

You also picked the airline with the best bed in the world! Well, at least I ran a poll on here and others agreed: Air NZ has the nicest bed in the sky, even if they don't have the best "day seat" in BP. I would choose Air NZ over Qantas and EK for a Nighttime flight if I had the choice, because the bed is so comfy!
