Many nonrefundable airline tickets can be changed for a fee and have residual value for a year after the date of issue. They are asking if your tickets still have value, and for documentation of the amount. Chase Travel should be able to tell you, in writing, if the airline tickets still have value and when it expires. Even if the remaining value is zero, they need documentation.
Thanks for the reply. This is becoming extremely frustrating. So I called chase travel and got connected to help desk. I explained the situation and asked for an email stating that trip was cancelled and no voucher etc was issues against the cancellation. The help desk supervisor was very repetitive stating that they do not have ability to give any such letter as this is related to card benefit and not travel. After trying to explain to him multiple times that chase travel is the travel agency that should give me letter stating that I have no residual value of the ticket left with them, he flat out said we do not issue any letter and I need to talk to card benefits. Card benefits obviously do not pick up the phone and keep sending the same email stating I need this letter.
Any suggestions will be greaty appreciated as I have already spend lot of time with no benefit so far.
Thanks
