I’m at 12, but having this same dilemma with the Hyatt brand. For a trip to NYC this fall, I had the Herald Sq booked for one night on cash, but then read the reviews on FT and quickly cancelled. I had previously been warned away from Grand Central. I wasn’t really impressed enough with the comments on Union Square to want to go there in lieu of an additional night at Andaz 5th, given that they are the same number of points. I’d looked at Palm Springs, but reviews seem pretty mixed. I’d rather not stay at a mediocre place for a destination trip just to earn the award, when there are better options. I’m curious to hear what others think is a decent Hyatt brand property or have settled for as the least worst option.
