Just had our first stay ever in Bend, and our first stay ever at an Element. Loved the Element, all the positives above are true. We just had a studio (only 30K pts for what would have been almost a $400 room - why? Bend prices can be crazy). Room is just really efficient and well laid out. Our blinds made the room PITCH black. Everyone at the FD was really nice, especially Eric who not only answered our pre-arrival questions, but checked us in AND acted as the bartender. Husband found out he was with the hotel 6 months before it opened, so had a lot to do with its construction and opening.

However, and this is not the hotel's fault, but we were there yesterday when Bend (and most of the country) was over 100 degrees. So no walking around to enjoy Bend, and driving around was a nightmare (on a Tuesday).

I will also say one negative is that, while that French Toast looks great, our hot item was a sweet potato hash which I found abysmal. I love sweet potatoes, all vegetables, and also hash, but this just wasn't cohesive. Potatoes were undercooked (not carmelized like sweet potatoes can be), corn, chicken sausage, I think kale all tossed together with an egg on top.

But I would definitely seek out an Element in other places now.
