I'm in decent shape...no Usain Bolt, but end to end in PHX is a haul. It's still a struggle (and I've missed flights as an over eager GA decided to give it away cause "there's no way anyone can make it"). I can't imagine being someone sitting in the back of the airplane who's older and less fitt than me.
I think the stress of traveling (even for frequent travelers) makes it feel worse than it is. I have done many 25-35 minute PHX connections and never missed a one. I have however missed a few that were over an hour.

I am glad that they offer these short connections. As someone who has to connect almost everytime I fly my goal is to limit the amount of time I spend in airports. The risk of missing a connection because of a delayed flight is worth shaving a couple of hours off every trip.

I do undertand that other people prioritize differnt things inncinnections and mighr want longer ones. Those are often availble too.
