I just realized I booked a 1:35 I to D connection in Miami which is exactly at MCT I believe. I forgot that MBJ is not a pre-clearance airport and wasn't thinking about customs when I booked. I would probably have no trouble as I am Global entry but I'm travelling with others what will not have that luxury.

I don't think you have a chance. MIA was a cluster last time I went through C&I (also GE, but that didn't help as TSA pre wasn't available.) You'll also be in the same boat as a lot of kettles who also booked too-short connections and are now panicking about making their onward flight, so there's a lot of pushing and shoving. We booked the 3 hour connection, but the pushing and shoving and swiping of bins at security (really? I get two bins to put my stuff in them (no pre-check available!) and somebody I don't know throws her stuff in them to get ahead of me in line?) still left a bad taste.
