I enjoyed my time at the HKG CL on several occasions. Albeit a very small lounge with a small but curated buffet, the bar staff is what shines in my opinion. They are highly trained and execute cocktails flawlessly. One thing I noticed when a friend and I had cocktails over a few hour timeframe.. no one seems to tip? We left 100 HKG each and the staff was extremely pleased.
Small oasis, but a really nice staff. I think the management at SFO is extremely militant, they could learn from the management at HKG
I don't believe tipping is normally a thing in Hong Kong. If anything, I'm told it's often found offensive (i.e. the implication that the need to tip indicates the service person is beneath you in some way) but I can't really say for sure.
Do people normally tip bartenders in Centurion Lounges?
