OP got his/her 500 points, plus a fruit platter and whatnot. This why hotels are sick of overentitled, complaint-trigger-happy and obnoxious elites.
I'm sure your post is even more vile because you failed to understand that:
1) the hotel accrued points only after my complaint
2) before my arrival, by default, the hotel made its own choice instead of the client in favor of a fruit plate, which is cheaper than 500 points.
The question of which of the elites or hotels is more vile remains open.
